SAINT JAMES´ ROAD INTERPRETATION CENTER
Placed in Orio´s Tourist Office, this interpretation center will bring you closer all the information about Saint James Road and especially about the North Route of which Orio is part .
Being a town bound to the sea and river, in Orio there are plenty of chances to practice all kind of activities.
Rowing, kayak or paddle surf are only some of the choices that the firm Begi-Bistan, specialized on active tourism, offers.
Orio has a big variety of path systems with different difficulties, for every kind of people and ages.
Some prominent tours are Kukuarri hike, Itxaspe hike or the path to Donostia-San Sebastián, the same that the pilgrims traverse in the opposite direction.
PAGOETA NATURAL PARK
Very close to Orio exists this natural park where in 2860 hectares you will find many different options such as an old foundry from the XVIIIth Century, a botanic garden or an interpretation center. It even has many routes to go over the parc and discover the flora and fauna of the area.
It is a flat town so you could walk for hours in town or around.
Some of these routes are also suitable to ride bikes, thanks to the lomg bike lane net of the town.
